Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia is famous for its outstanding programs in engineering and computing, as well as business, design, liberal arts, and sciences. It is a world-class public research university that is distinguished for its premiere STEM-focused education, with over six colleges, 100+ Ph.D. and master’s programs, and a variety of interdisciplinary degrees.


With nearly $1.3 billion annually in research awards across all six Colleges and the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), Georgia Tech is among the nation's most research-intensive universities.


Notable alumni include President Jimmy Carter, astronaut Sandra Magnus, designer Vern Vip and golfing legend Bobby Jones.

The overall acceptance rate for Georgia Tech was 17% in 2022, with 13% for out-of-state applicants and 35% for in-state applicants. Students that get into Georgia Tech have an average SAT score between 1310-1500 or an average ACT score of 30-34.
